Referred to as 'Subject' from:: 第１　コミュニケーション英語基礎; １　目標　英語を通じて，積極的にコミュニケーションを図ろうとする態度を育成するとともに，聞くこと，話すこと，読むこと，書くことなどの基礎的な能力を養う。; ２　内容; (1) １の目標に基づき，中学校学習指導要領第２章第９節の第２の２の(1)に示す言語活動を参照しつつ，適切な言語活動を英語で行う。; (2) (1)に示す言語活動を効果的に行うために，それぞれの生徒の中学校における学習内容の定着の程度等を踏まえた上で，中学校学習指導要領第２章第９節の第２の２の(2)のアに示す事項を参照しつつ，適切に指導するよう配慮するものとする。; ３　内容の取扱い　中学校における学習との接続と「コミュニケーション英語Ⅰ」における学習への円滑な移行のため，主に身近な場面における言語活動を経験させながら，中学校における基礎的な学習内容を整理して指導し定着を図るものとする。
