Referred to as 'Subject Area' from:: １　視覚障害者である生徒に対する教育を行う特別支援学校; (1) 生徒の視覚障害の状態等に応じて，点字又は普通の文字等による的確な理解と豊かな表現力を一層養うこと。なお，点字を常用して学習する生徒に対しても，漢字・漢語の意味や構成等についての理解を一層促すため，適切な指導が行われるようにすること。; (2) 視覚的なイメージを伴わないと理解が困難な事象や習得が難しい技能については，既習の内容や経験と関連付けながら，具体例を示すなど指導方法を工夫して，理解を深め習得を促すようにすること。; (3) 生徒の視覚障害の状態等に応じて，指導内容を適切に精選し，基礎的・基本的な事項を確実に習得するとともに，考えを深めていくことができるよう指導すること。; (4) 視覚補助具やコンピュータ等の情報機器，触覚教材，拡大教材及び音声教材等各種教材の活用を通して，生徒が効率的に多様な情報を収集・整理し，主体的な学習ができるようにするなど，生徒の視覚障害の状態等を考慮した指導方法を工夫すること。; (5) 生徒が空間や時間の概念を活用して場の状況や活動の過程等を的確に把握できるよう配慮し，見通しをもって積極的な学習活動を展開できるようにすること。; (6) 高等学校等を卒業した者が，社会経験を経るなどした後に，専門学科又は専攻科に入学した場合においては，その社会経験等を踏まえた指導内容となるよう工夫すること。
